Jobs For Missouri Graduates- Have you dreamed of visiting Washington D.C. ?  If you are a senior JMG student at Joplin High, you may be the one to receive the honor of a free trip to the Jobs for America's Graduates Student Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.  Perhaps, visiting our state capital of Jefferson City would be a thrill for you.  Be a JMG student and you may realize that thrill!  JMG offers many opportunities of leadership and team training that may project you toward new experiences that will enrich your life.

The Joplin High School JMG program is designed for Junior and Senior students to assist them with overcomming barriers for graduation.  JMG focuses on giving students a real life experience with developing team building skills, leadership skills, positive decision making, and job skills such as resume'writing, cover letters and resignation letters.  The JMG curriculum is based on national JAG competencies to help the student following graduation to continuing education, a career path, or the military.  Senior students are tracked for one year after graduation by the JMG Specialist to assist them with finding employment, enrolling in continuing education, etc.  JMG students have the opportunity to belong to many organizations which serve as a "wrap around" service.  To learn more about the national JAG program visit their website.
